This is an excellent example of both your fine use of manipulations and your ability to make something fresh from a familiar icon.
I really love the use of cicada exoskeletons as a stand in for wings.
The "cut work at the bottom is very beautiful. And I'd be lying if I said that I didn't appreciate the wires coming out the bottom. Your choice of spatter and water spot textures only adds to the overall feel.
The artists who you pulled things from can be very pleased with this stunning piece.
